Florida college students test positive for coronavirus after spring break trip

The University of Tampa announced on Saturday that five of its students have tested positive for coronavirus and are recovering after returning from a spring break trip.

The understudies were not identified and it’s indistinct where they voyaged or what number of people were with them. None have been hospitalized and they are purportedly self-detaching now.

They traveled together with other UT students during the schools’ break which took place from March 8 through 15.

“UT has been notified that five UT understudies, voyaging together and with other UT understudies during Spring Break, have tried positive for COVID-19,” the school said on Twitter. “We truly wish our understudies, and any other people who might be influenced, a full and quick recuperation.”

Four of the five understudies who tried positive came back to grounds after their spring break trip, while one didn’t.

In a different Facebook post, the University of Tampa said a 6th understudy has additionally tried positive in the wake of voyaging universally.

A week ago, DeSantis restricted social occasions at Florida beaches to 10 people for each gathering. He gave an official request Friday calling for exacting terminations of beaches and organizations in Broward and Palm Beach provinces, as indicated by the Tampa Bay Times.

The mayors of Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa Bay, Naples, and Jacksonville have since shut their beaches.

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., told Fox News on Sunday that “spring breakers have constrained the shutdown” of beaches in Florida.

He offered the remark from self-isolate by means of Skype on “Fox and Friends Weekend” Sunday, as beaches and hotels in the Florida Keys are relied upon to authoritatively near control the spread of the coronavirus.

“I know a 62-year-old male in good health that is struggling for his life right now so we have got to take this seriously,” Scott said.
