Richard Gould has officially taken on the role of Finance Director for the City of Edmonds. Appointed by Mayor Mike Rosen, Gould received confirmation from the City Council on February 4, and he commenced his duties on February 28, as stated in a news release from the city.
With more than 25 years of experience in municipal finance, Gould previously served as the finance manager for the City of Port Townsend, and before that, he was the finance director for the City of North Bend.
“I am truly honored to be joining the finance team in the wonderful City of Edmonds,” Gould expressed. “I find immense joy in recognizing the strengths of my colleagues and utilizing those strengths to achieve extraordinary outcomes. I look forward to collaborating with the talented and experienced staff within the city.”
Gould and his wife have a family that includes five children and seven grandchildren. In their spare time, they enjoy attending local gym events to cheer on their kids involved in tennis, basketball, and volleyball.
