Pollsters satisfying at least two of the three criteria listed below are classified as “select pollsters” by The Times, provided they conduct polls for nonpartisan sponsors. Demonstrates a history of accuracy in recent electionsIs a member of a recognized professional polling organizationEmploys probability-based sampling methods
Polls carried out by or for partisan organizations are identified as such, as they often publish results that favor their specific agendas. Margins are computed using unrounded vote shares when they are available.
