The White House released Trump’s travel itinerary late Saturday, indicating he will arrive just prior to the Green Flag, enjoy some racing, and then return to West Palm Beach, Florida, before heading home to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.

What is the weather forecast for Daytona Beach during the Daytona 500? Rain and wind expected
According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, there’s a possibility of showers and thunderstorms before 3 p.m. today, roughly one hour after the anticipated start of the Daytona 500.
Rain: Showers are likely, along with possible thunderstorms between 3 and 5 p.m., with additional chances after 5 p.m.
While the temperature will be warm and partially sunny, reaching a high near 84, it will also be quite windy.
Wind: A south wind at 10 to 15 mph will shift to a southwest wind at 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon, with gusts potentially reaching 35 mph.
High chance of rain: The precipitation probability is currently at 70%. New rainfall amounts could be less than a tenth of an inch, although higher amounts are possible during thunderstorms.
Has Trump attended the Daytona 500 previously?
Prior to the 2020 Daytona 500, Trump arrived via Air Force One, performing a low flyover of Daytona International Speedway. Upon entering the World Center of Racing in The Beast, his presidential limousine, he served as grand marshal, giving the starting command to drivers, joined by first lady Melania.
The presidential limo then joined pace cars and safety vehicles on the track, leading the 40-car field through a pre-race lap.
Before his presidency, Trump attended the Great American Race at least three times—in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
In May 2024, during his re-election campaign, he returned to NASCAR by attending the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, marking his first NASCAR event since 2020.
