English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran shocked fans in a spontaneous performance by jumping atop a car in Soho, New York. The “Shape of You” singer performed a day after clearing his name from an apparent copyright violation suit. Ed was donning a black coat with Nike shoes and a pair of black trousers. He climbed atop the car with his Subtract guitar and started singing his new song Boat for awaiting fans and amazed passersby who stopped to record the singer performing on their mobiles.
The musician has commented on the jury’s decision of safeguarding the creative art of songwriters in America as well as the world. He has expressed being relieved, of keeping his job and not retiring, which he was bound to do, had he been proven guilty of copyright violation. Sheeran stated to PEOPLE, of feeling frustrated by false claims and being dragged to court. His performance comes much to break away from his frustration. Ed has thanked the jury, and his team of lawyers, and encouraged the entire music fraternity.

Ed Sheeran has dedicated a song to his daughter, Lyra Antarctica in his new Album -“Subtract” which was released last week on May 5 by Atlantic and Asylum Records. Sheeran had spoken out about the hardships of being a parent, particularly in times of sadness, though parenting is wonderful and wild. Ed has called his daughter a ball of energy who manages to lighten up any emotional situation, Ed feels happy to be woken up by his happy little daughter after a night of real darkness. He has also shared his routine with his daughter with whom he often listens to vinyl while having breakfast.
