World Cup is all about flairs. It is the grandest stage for footballers. It is from here that stars of the future are made. The whole footballing nation waits eagerly for the grand event.

However, it is not only the fans that wait, the footballers themselves also want to prove themselves at the grandest stage. Unfortunately, every year, not all the stars are lucky enough to get featured in the World Cup.

Some of the biggest stars do miss out every time. It comes as a heartbreak moment for them. The upcoming Qatar World Cup is also the same. While on one hand, it will witness stars like Leonel Messi, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandoski.

It will also miss players like Mohammed Salah, Erling Haaland, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The English Premier League fans wanted to see Mohammed Salah in action for Egypt. He has been phenomenal for Liverpool for the past few seasons.

Unfortunately, Salah could not replicate his heroics for his country. Egypt bowed to Senegal via a penalty shootout. This was the second consecutive occasion where Senegal triumphed over Egypt in the penalties.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is another star that World Cup 2022 will miss dearly. Let us learn more about the story in detail below.

World Cup To Miss Numerous Stars

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wanted to sign off by giving his fans a pleasant world cup memory. Unfortunately, that was not to be.

Sweden failed to qualify after a dismal performance in the qualifiers. This meant that we will not be seeing any more of Zlatan on the grandest stage. Ibra is already forty-one years of age.

Thus, it is safe to assume that the previous World Cup was the last one for Zlatan.

Similarly, Erling Haaland will also be missing the Cup. With the draws coming up soon, it will be interesting to see how the teams perform.
