Organized by UNDP, this side event aims to equip policymakers and stakeholders with practical insights on investing in climate and nature as part of sustainable development paths that are increasingly characterized by fragmentation, polarization, and fragility. The discussion will highlight both public and private financing for Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) in developing countries. Panelists will share their experiences with initiatives that integrate climate, nature, and development, along with the financing strategies that support these efforts. These insights will be framed within the larger context of multilateral cooperation and collective action stemming from the Rio Conference, which is essential to enhance global collaboration and resilience against shared challenges across political, economic, environmental, and social dimensions.
