Is Donald Trump Considering a Forceful Acquisition of Greenland?

Donald Trump is eyeing Greenland.

The US president claims that this semi-autonomous Danish territory is vital to national security and suggests that it should be incorporated into the United States.

Trump’s remarks have caused concern in Greenland, especially following US Vice President JD Vance’s announcement of an upcoming visit to the island.

Greenland is abundant in minerals and holds a strategic location. However, its residents firmly believe that their land is not for sale.

Will this situation deepen the divide between the US and its European allies?

And to what extent is Trump prepared to go to achieve his aims?
