Nick Cordero’s wife stated that he is recovering after his leg was amputated after coronavirus complications.

The star has been fighting COVID-19 for more than 15 days. However, his wife, Amanda Kloots, continued to inform fans about his health state on Instagram.

Kloots stated that Saturday was the 18th day of Cordero being in the ICU. During he’s in hospital, he started having clotting problems in his leg that caused preventing blood from reaching his right leg’s toes. She added that the blood pressure affected the blood thinners he has got to treat the clotting issues that caused internal bleeding in his intestines.

He is staying at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Kloot stated: “They had him on blood thinners for the clotting, unfortunately, the blood thinners were causing other issues. The right leg will be amputated today.”
Kloots initiated the hashtag #wakeupnick on Instagram and called her fans to make videos of them dancing and asking him to wake up. Then, on Saturday, she updated her fans that his surgery had succeeded.
“He made it through the surgery, which is really big because obviously his body is pretty weak,” Kloots said. “Hopefully he’ll just kind of relax and rest.”
A GoFundMe campaign was started by their friends to support them for hospital bills and make sure he has a home wheel-chair.
“I’m really blown away, guys … I wanna thank anyone that has given anything that they can,” she said through tears. “It’s just overwhelming, I really thank you so much.”
