Spanish footballing great Xavi ‘ok’ after testing positive for coronavirus

News comes from the world of football that Spanish legend, Xavi, is coronavirus positive. Fortunately, he told his fans through social media that he is doing okay. 

His statement has also been released by the Qatar Stars League Al Sadd. 

Xavi revealed that he took the COVID-19 test after it was made mandatory for all the QSL players. He also said that he has been put under isolation for the next few weeks. He further said that, if he gets well and the doctors allow him, he will return to his work. 

He also expressed his gratitude and thanked Al Sadd, QFA, and QSL “for supplying the means of early detection, reducing the spread of infection, and that guarantees the normal development of the competition.” 

In Saturday’s game, David Prats will be coaching the team. Last Friday was the first day the football team graced the field after the league was suspended because of coronavirus in March. 

Xavi has taken the coaching reign after he took early retirement from playing last season. 

Xavi is most adored by his fans from when he played in the Spanish national team. He was the forerunner in his team’s World Cup win.
