President Donald Trump announced on social media that federal law enforcement officers captured an alleged “major leader” of MS-13 Thursday morning.
“We just captured a major leader of MS-13,” he tweeted.
The alleged 24-year-old gang member has not yet been identified publicly.
Attorney General Pam Bondi, accompanied by FBI Director Kash Patel during the raid, stated in a press conference that the individual was “the leader for the East Coast, among the top three in the nation, right here in Virginia, just thirty minutes outside of Washington, DC.”
“He is an illegal alien from El Salvador, and he will not be residing in our country for much longer,” Bondi remarked.
Earlier this week, UJ reported that as part of the deportation flights involving alleged terrorists, the U.S. quietly dropped charges against a key alleged MS-13 leader and returned him to the pro-Trump leader of El Salvador.
Contributions to this report were made by UJ’s Evan Perez and Priscilla Alvarez.
