- Chris Bustamante, an aesthetic nurse practitioner, is the owner of Lushful Aesthetics based in NYC.
- He mentioned a growing interest in male enhancement procedures, including penis and scrotum fillers.
- Additionally, he has seen an increase in clients seeking revisions for poorly performed penis filler treatments.
Chris Bustamante dedicates three to four sessions daily to discuss with his clients their desired aesthetics regarding their penis.
His clinic, Lushful Aesthetics, located in Midtown Manhattan, provides a variety of services such as facial fillers and chemical peels, which Bustamante refers to as “bread-and-butter” beauty treatments. However, the significant growth in his practice is attributed to penis filler, which constituted over 40% of Lushful Aesthetics’ $3 million revenue in 2024.
They are not the only ones experiencing this trend.
The demand for penis enlargement is skyrocketing. Several cosmetic surgeons told Allure in 2023 that penis filler has become their most requested service. Dr. David Shafer, a plastic surgeon in New York, shared with GQ in 2023 that his clientele for penis fillers has surged from one or two per week to four or five per day, leading him to allocate an entire floor of his clinic to these services.
When Bustamante launched his clinic in 2022, the sole male enhancement option he provided was “Shockwave Therapy and P-Shot,” utilizing plasma and vacuum pump technology to enhance erectile duration.

Now, he informed Business Insider that he performs around “three penis fillers a day.” His clientele—typically professional men in their 30s, 40s, and 50s—can choose from an array of specialized (and patented) enhancement options. These include “Girth Enhancement” for thicker girth, “ScroFill” for a larger scrotum, or “ShowTox,” a Botox treatment designed to help men appear more prominent when flaccid.
Many of his male clients also opt for body enhancement services like “instant BBLs,” which are non-surgical butt lifts employing considerable amounts of filler, he noted to Business Insider.
Bustamante’s observations mirror the alarming rise in men seeking beauty treatments. Between 2019 and 2022, the number of male patients undergoing non-invasive cosmetic processes like fillers and Botox surged by 253%. In his view, this is part of a broader movement towards perfection among high-achieving men.
“They tend to be competitive and strive to be the best.”
Men Seeking Size Enhancement
Bustamante categorizes his male enhancement clients into three primary groups: sex workers, young creative professionals in their 30s and 40s, and “high-powered money-makers”—men in finance and real estate aged 40 to 50.
While many of them start with average or even larger-than-average penises, that isn’t a concern. These clients desire to be “the biggest guy in the room,” Bustamante stated.
One recent client, employed in wealth management, spent approximately $150,000 over three months on various treatments, including instant BBLs ($16,000 for 80 syringes), girth enhancement, and scrotum filler (ranging from $13,500 to $16,500 for 20-25 units). He repeated each procedure three times because “he wants it bigger,” Bustamante recounted. More typically, clients invest about $50,000 across one to two years, returning every six months for additional filler.
Bustamante has had clients inquire, while he was injecting filler, if he had ever used the most filler in a single session. Upon confirming he had, they would ask him to replicate that amount right then. Some clients have ended up with penile measurements exceeding 7.5 inches in circumference—surpassing their length.
However, Bustamante exercises caution with what he will perform. “It’s essential to be vigilant for body dysmorphia,” he noted. One individual he turned away was a bodybuilder who used a penis pump for 40 minutes daily—exceeding the recommended duration of 30 minutes. This practice can lead to swelling and damage, resulting in scarring that made safe filler injections impossible (and also less visually appealing, according to Bustamante).
If he detects clients frequently scheduling appointments for more filler, he will advise them to wait six months before proceeding. “We have already done a lot. Enjoy it,” he will counsel. “Don’t go elsewhere for more, only to risk complications.”
Complications with Penis Filler
The increasing popularity of penis filler has led Bustamante to encounter more requests for revision treatments after clients reported side effects such as lumps, severe bruising, and scarring from other clinics. Around 25% of his new clients seek revisions, prompting him to officially offer this service.
Some of the adjustments are purely cosmetic—perhaps a provider injected a penis while it was flaccid, failing to anticipate how it would ultimately appear erect (Bustamante administers Trimix, a medication that induces artificial erections, before injection).
Other revisions are more complex. One client sought Bustamante’s help after receiving penis filler from clinics in California and Texas. After one appointment, his penis was left so bruised it turned black, and he refrained from sexual activity for a year. Bustamante was able to resolve the issue by dissolving the existing filler and re-injecting him.
Bustamante attributes part of the issue to injectors lacking the necessary expertise in the complexities of penile procedures. Some begin their careers with cosmetic services, focusing on facial fillers, before expanding into penis filler, despite its greater intricacies and counter-intuitive requirements.
For example, while facial fillers can be injected gradually and adjusted to shape the desired look, Bustamante explained that the penis needs to fully heal before additional filler can be added. Incremental injections may lead to inflammation, swelling, filler migration, lumps, and discomfort. Instead, he prefers to inject the majority of the filler in a single session and then assess the healing process after about three weeks, when the patient is expected to be approximately 90% healed.
“It is an entirely different anatomical structure and necessitates extensive experience,” Bustamante affirmed.
The healing journey may entail some swelling and minor bruising, but it should not involve extreme pain or deep black bruises, he specified.
Thriving Business
Lushful Aesthetics
Business is on the rise—with Lushful Aesthetics generating $1 million annually since its inception. Bustamante believes that seeing more clients enhances his skill set. “My technique continues to evolve,” he said. He tailors methods based on various penile shapes and considerations such as the circumcision line or foreskin thickness, as these affect how the filler settles.
“As a meticulous artist, I constantly seek ways to improve my work,” he remarked. “When I administer Botox to my mother, I’m critically evaluating the outcome, thinking, ‘That looks good.’
Operating in a major city like New York certainly has its advantages. Many of his repeat clients travel in from other states, where skilled injectors specializing in penis filler are less accessible—at least for the time being.
Spending tens of thousands for the ideal enhancement may seem like an exclusive interest. However, Bustamante has noted that numerous men partake in this discreetly. He recounted a story about a client flying in from Texas who opened up after a few drinks with a friend about receiving penis filler; to his surprise, the friend had also tried it.
“It was a revelation for them,” Bustamante said. “Clearly, it’s a conversation happening among many men.”
