An appeal made by Casey DeSantis called on women across America to flock to Iowa in support of Ron DeSantis for the 2024 presidential election process. The move has earned the rebuke of the GOP. The Republican Party sent a reminder that only state residents could participate in the voting process.

The state party unit reminded in a sharp rebuke that only legal residents of the Hawkeye state and its precincts in a statement that it released on X, the microblogging social media space previously known as Twitter. The statement was in response to Casey DeSantis’ call.

The party will hold gatherings at the local level, called the Iowa Caucus, in January. Republican supporters are invited to vote for their candidate of choice for the 2024 Presidential elections in November. The Democrats are expected to stick with running US President Biden. Casey DeSantis has been behind a campaign to get women to support her husband. In a misplaced show of support, she urged women from across the country to back her husband in the nomination process.

The Republicans are scheduled to organize local gatherings where participants will choose the GOP candidate who will be the party’s candidate to run against the Democrats in November. Casey DeSantis was speaking on Fox News when she appealed to women across the United States. She said that voters need not be a resident of Iowa to participate in the voting process.

In her “Mama for DeSantis” campaign, Casey DeSantis has been exhorting mothers and grandmothers to attend Iowa nationwide and support Ron DeSantis in the Republican primary elections. Casey DeSantis later clarified on X that only registered voters could participate in the voting process. She said that she meant that the mothers and grandmothers from outside the state could involve themselves in support of her husband Ron.
