President Trump informed reporters that he underwent a cognitive test as part of his medical examination on Friday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He mentioned that the results from his doctors would be shared in the upcoming days.

“I took a cognitive test. And I don’t know what else to say except that I got every answer right,” Trump stated. “I underwent a multitude of tests, related to my heart and other medical areas.”
While presidents are not required to disclose their medical records, there is a considerable history of them withholding health issues.
Trump, being 78 years old, is the oldest president to begin a second term. His predecessor, former President Joe Biden, commenced his first term at the same age and showed signs of decline during his presidency.
A cognitive assessment was a component of Trump’s initial physical examination in the White House back in 2018. He later recounted that he “aced” the test.
This cognitive test was absent from Biden’s 2024 physical, a choice that the White House had to justify after Biden encountered difficulties during his debate with Trump last summer, which eventually led to his withdrawal from the presidential race.
