Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase, participated in the inaugural White House crypto summit alongside Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Jennifer Schonberger to talk about the Trump administration’s efforts to support the cryptocurrency sector.
“President Trump has truly revitalized this industry in recent years. We felt unfairly targeted by the previous administration… The president has taken charge and is working to bring the industry back to the US, which is already yielding positive outcomes,” Armstrong stated.
He emphasized that Coinbase (COIN) is set to recruit a thousand employees as a result of clearer regulatory guidelines. Regarding bitcoin’s (BTC-USD) price fluctuations, he mentioned, “the aim is not to eliminate volatility entirely. Our goal is for the price to increase over time.”
Furthermore, Armstrong highlighted the essential need for bipartisan support to secure the long-term prosperity of the crypto industry, pointing out that such collaboration will contribute to establishing a stable regulatory framework that encourages further growth and innovation.
