UFC on ESPN 14 weigh-in results: Robert Whittaker, Darren Till on point for main event, Francisco Trinaldo misses

Abu Dhabi will host the Fight Island matchup between Darren Till and Robert Whittaker this Saturday. The weighing of the two UFC contenders went without any fuss, with both weighing in at 186 pounds. Whittaker is going to walk into the octagon after a loss of title to Israel Adesanya, while Till comes off a win on Kevin Gastelum last November.

In the light heavyweight event, veteran Nogueira would be squaring off Mauricio Rua. Both weighing in at 206 pounds, this is said to be Noguiera’s last match in a long career in MMA. With 30 fighters weighing in, only one missed the weight- Trinaldo. For his lightweight match against Herbert, he weighed in at 160 pounds. Now, the fight will be in catchweight with Trinaldo losing close to 30% of his purse.

Trinaldo’s team mentioned that Trinaldo had started feeling unwell during the weighing in when a UFC doctor had to be called to check-up. Post-check-up Trinaldo went on with the weighing in and also looked better.

The main card event for the Saturday fight seems to be

Robert Whittaker (186) vs. Darren Till (186)

Mauricio Rua (206) vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (206)
