Former President Donald Trump is ‘appalled’ by the distressing scenes emerging from Israel following the return of the Bibas children’s remains on Thursday, as shared by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday morning.
“His heart is shattered,” Waltz expressed regarding Trump. “My message, and President Trump’s message to those families, is that we stand with you.”
Waltz remarked that the return of the Bibas children’s bodies, missing their mother Shiri, highlights the abhorrent nature of Hamas and reinforces the notion that they should never be permitted to govern Gaza.
“There’s an ongoing conversation about a two-state solution. But who opposes this? Who will never allow it? Hamas,” Waltz stated. “That is why they simply cannot continue to exist in the future.”
Waltz’s gratitude that Netanyahu disregarded Biden
Waltz expressed relief, stating “thank goodness” that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chose not to heed the advice of the Biden-Harris administration. Thanks to this decision and the leadership of both Trump and Israel, Hezbollah in Iran is significantly weakened.
“The beeper operation will be recorded in history,” he continued. “That was one of the most significant operations ever.”
Waltz acknowledged Trump’s recent executive order that reinstates the maximum pressure campaign against Iran aimed at “maintaining pressure on the Iranian economy.”
The crux of the matter is that Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon, he asserted.
“Why is this important for everyday Americans? If Iran possesses a nuclear weapon, it raises serious concerns about their rationality; they could threaten our ally Israel and potentially launch attacks globally. They would have a nuclear umbrella to support these types of aggressions,” Waltz explained. “They cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon, and under President Trump’s leadership, we will ensure that this remains the case.”
