Voice of America Director Calls Trump’s Dismantling of Agency a “Self-Inflicted Wound”

Voice of America, the government-sponsored news organization established during World War II to combat Nazi propaganda, ceased broadcasting over the weekend after the Trump administration placed employees on leave or terminated them. Nancy Cordes interviewed director Michael Abramowitz, who cautions that dismantling the agency could allow America’s adversaries to gain more influence globally.
