7 Wisconsin coronavirus infections linked to Election Day, health official says

With Wisconsin losing the lives of 230 people to the coronavirus pandemic and 4500 as tested positive, 7 more cases were noted from the April 7th election day. Six of the cases involve Milwaukee voters and one is a Milwaukee poll worker, as reported by Commissioner Jeanette Kowalik.

Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm said that there has been no notable surge in the number of affected cases because of the election. Tuesday marks the 14th day since the election, which is the time frame during which health officials say symptoms generally appear. Officials hope to have more information on the cases by the end of the week.
