David Duchovny is one of the most talented actors in America. He is a man of many talents. Apart from being an actor, he is also an excellent writer & producer. David is also known for his fantastic prowess in direction, songwriting, and novel writing. 

Duchovny was shot to fame by appearing in “The X Files”. The actor portrayed the role of Fox Mulder in the series which gained much popularity. However, as it turns out, life has not always been rosy for David Duchovny. 

He has faced several rejections in his career. Duchovny spoke about a few of them recently. Let us take a quick look at what he has to say below. 

David Duchovny Rejected For Full House

The actor recently appeared on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. David spoke about his life’s journey as an actor. He also spoke about the highs and lows he had experienced in his career. David remembered about one particular event distinctively. He appeared for the auditions of Full House. He wanted to be cast as the leading male character of the show. Unfortunately, he was not being considered and was rejected. 

Duchovny was questioned by the host whether he auditioned for all the characters of the show. The actor nodded in confirmation and stated that all the auditions went horribly wrong. David revealed that he was a newcomer in Hollywood at the time of the incident. It was the first instance David traveled to the city of Los Angeles. 

The characters auditioned by David Duchovny were eventually given to Bob Saget, Dave Coulier & John Stamos. However, this acted as a boon on David’s part. He went on to grab the character of an FBI(Fox Mulder) in The X Files. This show was a massive success and ran for eleven consecutive seasons.
