Gal Gadot, the Hollywood actress, talked about her journey in the movie, Wonder Woman on the platform of one of the news channels of Israel. The statements given by the actress with regard to Joss Whedon, the director of the movie, were quite controversial. The “Justice League” actress stated that she received threats from the director with regard to her career. This is not the first time the actress has opened up about the situation. She has spoken out about it in earlier interviews.
Joss Whedon’s Threats
Yuna Leibzon, the host, made the mention of Gal Gadot’s past experiences with Joss Whedon. It included her getting threatened when she wanted to make a few changes with regard to her character as the Wonder Woman. Leibzon quoted the director stating that the actress was told to look good and just carry out her role. The host then followed with a question asking if Gadot would let the director get away with his brutal behavior with her. To that, the actress replied, “No.” she followed it by claiming that Joss Whedon directly threatened her career, however, she handled it right then.
The candid interview takes place after a month of the claims that were made on the accused director. One of the actors of the Justice League, Ray Fisher, had talked about the same with regard to the director to an American entertainment news source. An investigation also took place following the accusation against Joss Whedon. It was carried out by WarnerMedia. It was also reported that Gal Gadot expressed her concerns with regard to the revised version of her film. She preferred her character to be a little less aggressive like the one in her previous films. The actress wanted continuity in the character.
