Raegan Revord of “Young Sheldon” claimed Thursday that a vehicle accident involving a drunk driver made filming the episode that aired this week “very difficult.”
Revord, who plays Sheldon Cooper’s twin sister Missy in the “Big Bang Theory” spinoff starring Sheldon Cooper as a boy, said on Instagram that she and her mother were struck from behind while driving to work.
“The irony here is that I am pretty much in a car for the whole episode,” the adolescent wrote. “That is not to say it was not challenging. For weeks following the event, I suffered from panic attacks and PTSD.”

“When I read the script, I remember being so happy to film it and even more excited to film it with my buddy (who was also vital in bringing me through some of those bad times- love you Kenny),” she said, referring to actress McKenna Grace, with whom she shot the episode and tagged in the Instagram snap.
Grace, 16, responded to her friend and costar’s tweet by writing: “Seeing how much your show cared about you as an actor AND a human being was just amazing. I am so proud of you for persevering through this. I adore you, Thelma and Louise!!!”
