With a large section of the American population struggling with inflation, quite a few have already spent the stimulus check payments that they had received between 2020 and 2021.
Since the federal government hasn’t taken up the initiative to issue any more stimulus payments, people have started noticing that their states have come up on that front. Despite this, there are still quite a few legislators who want to send the Americans some sort of aid. Needless to say, while the economy seems to have recovered quite steadily, this doesn’t really mean that the Americans have. And this has led to lawmakers pushing for further payments.
Stimulus Check Payments To Be Issued In Different States
Now, despite multiple proposals being created at the national front, none of them have gained any form of traction. The Biden Administration did ask for $22.5 billion in the March of 2022 in order to deal with the pandemic. This did imply that the government would be issuing some form of a payment- but it never came to that. This has resulted in several states picking up the slack. Most of the states have their own reasons for issuing stimulus payments to the residents.
In the state of California, the government has been issuing stimulus check payments that would help with the rise in prices of gas. Connecticut, on the other hand, has been aiding the residents in the form of a child tax credit payment.
