The LA Lakers are one of the clubs that Kyrie Irving has now mentioned as prospective sign-and-trade partners for the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn could choose to go in this direction since they can not let Irving leave without obtaining anything meaningful in exchange.
Shareef O’Neal, the son of Shaquille O’Neal, will have to travel to Las Vegas for the Summer League in order to compete for a position on the roster of the Los Angeles Lakers. Shareef O’ Neal worked out with the Purple and Gold team before the draught but was not selected.

In other matters involving Austin Reaves, Stanley Johnson, and Wenyen Gabriel, GM Rob Pelinka is keeping his cards close to his chest. They are not in a rush to commit just now since the supporting cast in LA needs extensive retooling.

The son of legendary Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen, Scotty Pippen Jr., will go to Las Vegas with Shareef O’ Neal for the Summer League. The LA Lakers and the younger Pippen just agreed to a two-way contract.
