While there won’t be any federal stimulus checks sent anytime soon, several states will still be paying out payouts or giving rebates in 2023.

Colorado

Colorado citizens who requested an extension and submitted their tax returns by the deadline of October 17, 2022, will be reimbursed $750, or $1,500 for joint filers, by January 31. Those who submitted their 2021 taxes by April 15, 2022, most likely have received their payouts, but those who requested an extension the previous year will get their checks by the end of January.

Stimulus Check Applications Are Still Available

To verify their status, the state suggests that Coloradans go to the Department of Revenue PTC Rebate website.

Idaho’s governor, Brad Little, approved a $500 million bill in September that allows taxpayers who filed returns in 2020 and 2021 to receive 10% of their refunds, up to $300, whichever is greater. The maximum award for joint filers is $600. The state won’t be disbursing the funds until March 2023 at the earliest.

The Idaho State Tax Commission stated in a news release from the previous year that by the end of March 2023, “The Tax Commission intends to distribute around 800,000 rebates amounting to up to $500 million.”

New Jersey

According to authorities, homeowners in New Jersey who earn up to $150,000 annually would receive a $1,500 tax credit. Individuals making between $150,000 and $250,000 are given $1,000.

In contrast, renters who make less than $150,000 a year are eligible for a $450 Stimulus Checkreimbursement. The first several months of 2023 will see Stimulus Checks being given out. However, according to officials, applicants must submit their applications by January 31.

North Mexico

The governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, declared this week that legislation to increase relief payments to residents of the state had been submitted to the state legislature.
