The 52-year-old actor stated that she was quite excited to join Quinta (who played the role of Janine), as well as the rest of the cast. This was delivered in a special video message at the PaleyFest in Los Angeles on Saturday. The panel that had arrived for the event of this hit ABC series also included the rest of the cast members like Lisa Ann Walter, Sheryl Lee Ralph, William Stanford Davis, and Tyler James Williams. Chris Perfetti and Janelle James appeared via webcam, while Janine’s actor, Brunson, and the alum of Empire had pre-recorded the messages.
Abbott Elementary S2 Will Show The Relationship Between A Mother And Her Daughter
Taraji P. Henson is going to appear in Abbott Elementary S2’s episode ‘Mom’, which will be on air on the 12th of April. This casting news came after Ayo Edebiri had made her screen debut as Ayesha- Janine’s sister- the previous month. The 27-year-old star of Bear had also made a cameo when fans saw the awkward conversation between the sibling duo over FaceTime. The last few episodes have been focused entirely on the strained relationship that Janine has with her mother and sister. While the teacher was able to work out her issues with her sister, her mother is still in a completely different situation.
Speaking about her character’s relationship with her mother in Abbott Elementary S2, the Golden Globe winner stated that she believed relationships with mothers can be quite poignant- especially for someone who was in the profession of taking care of kids. One’s relationship with their mother can often pave the way for them to connect with the kids at school. And Brunson further mentioned that she knew a lot of women who had complicated relationships with their mothers.
