American Football Conference – Northern Division (AFC North) is one of the four groups in the National Football League (NFL). AFC North currently has four teams, namely, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Caesar’s Sportsbook comments that Cincinnati has all the possibility to win the AFC North game, followed by Baltimore, Cleveland, and then Pittsburgh. It also states that Ravens strengthened their team by bringing in several experienced sportsmen including wideouts like Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholar, and Todd Monken, who is the new coordinator. Apart from them they also brought back quarterback Lamar Jackson, who signed a five-year contract with the Ravens. This proved to be a significant move on their part which would guarantee their inevitable success.
After a busy offseason Browns also appointed former New York Jets wideout Elijah More and former Pro Bowl Pass-rusher Za Darius Smith. They also brought over Jim Schwartz who was the former Eagles defensive coordinator to take care of the defense. Steelers, too, added some veterans such as DT Larry Ogunjobi, and C.B. Patrick Peterson to bolster their team of young and aspiring players.
The Most Promising Fresher Who Made The Best Impact On AFC North
Jamison Hensley, who has been ESPN’s Baltimore Ravens reporter since 2013, opines that it is Orlando Brown Jr, whose win rate was 91.8%, which was indisputably better than Jonah Williams who set the precedence of 83.5% win rate.
Ben Baby, who is ESPN’s NFL Nation team player focused on Cincinnati Bengals states that Smith is an extraordinary player who will take his team to another level. Jake Trotter, an ESPN Browns reporter says that Monken and Schwartz can be the best pair of assistant coaches who are assigned the task of changing the scenario of underperformance of the units that worked in the last season.
Now the question that arises on the division of the teams is whether Deshaun Watson will be a fitting candidate for this season. Having suffered a major setback in his career, he now gets back to his former records made from 2018 to 2020. Hensley opines if he can restore his former glory, then Cleveland Brown will also be able to achieve its goal of being the first among the AFC North teams.
In reply to the question as to who is the biggest threat to Cincinnati this season, Hensley states that it is the Ravens. As they brought over Jackson who is surrounded by a group of productive teammates, they have the possibility to win the Championship. While Trotter also assumes it to be the Baltimore Ravens, Baby reports that it might be the Browns. However, Pryor thinks that Pittsburgh Steelers might challenge the Bengals this season because of the defense of Peterson and Joey Porter Jr.
