Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate, has shared his views on the stimulus package, in detail, on CNN. Sanjay Gupta and Anderson Cooper conducted the interview on behalf of CNN.

According to Biden, the economic package might be an “opportunity” to “fundamentally change the science relating to global warming.”

He added that similar to the War Production Board set up in the US during World War II, a Pandemic Production Board may be the need of the day.

About controlling the pandemic, Biden was of the view that now it’s all about testing, tracing, and treatment. According to him, the testing is taking inordinately long.

It was further suggested that minimum salary should be increased and other changes should be made to deal with the “systemic racism that exists” and to empower those citizens who were refused the opportunity to receive an equal education.

He is optimistic that the country has the capacity of seriously creating 10 million well-paid jobs while taking care of global warming.
