Kamala Harris To Join Gov. Newsom In California

Kamala Harris, the vice-president of the country, is set to pay a visit in the state of California. To be precise, she will be in the Bay Area of the state in the coming week. The main purpose of the visit is in order to support Gavin Governor, the governor of the state in the upcoming recall elections. It is to take place on the 14th of September and the two will be campaigning together. This news on the involvement of the vice-president was given out by Symone Sanders, the chief spokesperson of VP Kamala Harris.

Kamala Harris Supports Newsom

Symone Sanders gave out the news on the social me3dia platform, Twitter. It was stated that the 56-year-old first-ever VP of the United States of America belonging to the Democratic Party, would be paying her visit on the 8th of September that falls on Wednesday. The spokesperson also gave the confirmation that the involvement of VP Kamala Harris was for the benefit of Democratic governor Gavin Newsom.

Nathan Click, the campaign spokesperson of the California Democratic governor, too confirmed the same news. The VP was actually supposed to visit the state with the governor in the month of August. She was to pay her visit as she made her return from Vietnam and Singapore. However, it got postponed due to the unfortunate situation that took place in Afghanistan.

Following that, VP Kamala Harris had to get busy evacuating the allies of America and some vulnerable Afghans who were there before the deadline of 31st August. Gavin Newsom also has the support of Joe Biden, the President. The White House gave a statement in the month of August that the President would visit California in order to support the Democratic governor.
