On November 17th’s hearing Dianne Feinstein, senior Democrat, Committee of Senate Judiciary,87, oldest Senate member grilled one witness. Reading from her prepared papers, Dianne Feinstein asked Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey, if Twitter did enough for stemming this spread of misinformation.

She read a full tweet where President Trump has falsely claimed to win the 2020 election on November 7th. She was inquiring Dorsey whether their company’s labeling of Trump’s tweet as a disputed tweet alerted the readers adequately about it being a lie.

Issue Regarding Dianne Feinstein

Dianne Feinstein is the female trailblazer of Washington and on the day she was focused and sharp. The error happened when Feinstein asked Dorsey about it again and read Trump’s tweet again. Her inflection seemed eerily identical. She sounded and looked very authoritative without registering this awareness of repeating herself. Dorsey answered it again politely. However, Social media did not take the matter lightly.

One Conservative website posted her video of repeating herself on YouTube with an emoji and proclaiming that it is time for her to retire. After six days under tremendous pressure, Dianne Feinstein declared in a statement that she is stepping down from the senior Democrat position but will continue to be a non-ranking member in the committee.

Dianne Feinstein became known for the first time when she showed her grit when her fellow officials from San Francisco, George Moscone, and Harvey Milk were dead from bullet shots. She had a Senate tenure of 28 years taking on all sorts of interests from the CIA to the gun-rights group.

This moment is a turning point in Feinstein’s career in the Senate that runs on the system of seniority. Tensions started getting high in 2018 summer during the confirmation hearings in the Supreme Court of Brett Kavanaugh when the rest of the Democrats learned that instead of alerting the FBI Feinstein was sitting on Ford’s allegation that Brett assaulted her sexually in her high school.
