Donald Trump, the former president of the U.S., endorsed Herschel Walker, the ex-NFL star for the senate seat of Georgia. The famous athlete will be looking to take the seat of Senator Raphael Warnock (Democrat) in the coming year.

Herschel Walker Is Trump’s Great Friend

Donald Trump called Herschel Walker a Patriot, his friend, and an excellent American. He thinks Walker would be great as a Senator of the U.S. He pointed out that Herschel Walker is the embodiment of putting America First. He also endorsed Walker’s willingness to always side with Vets, the Military, and Law Enforcement.

Trump also claimed that Herschel Walker would fight tooth and nail for Voter Integrity and the Second Amendment. He ended by saying that Walker will not let his voters down ever. He might possibly be a better senator than a football player. As such, Trump gave him his total and complete endorsement.

Herschel Walker is a newcomer to politics. But Trump has been backing him for several months to think about running for Georgia’s senate seat. In August, Walker suggested that he might run for it after registering himself as a Georgia voter. Somewhere around a week later, Walker filed in the required paperwork with the FEC (Federal Election Commission).

The ex-President’s endorsement may get some more votes from the GOP. However, Walker will face several personal obstacles that need to be overcome if he is to win. In July, the AP had claimed that the news outlet had gotten hold of allegations in public records against him. This included threatening behavior with his former wife. Moreover, the AP said that he had written about how he handled mental illness in his 2008 book.

Other contestants for the seat include Gary Black.
