Jason Kokrak, the three-time PGA Tour winner, has been rumored to be one of the players that will be joining LIV Golf.

And after his seemingly caustic departure from the Travelers Championship on Friday, this rumor seems like a possibility. According to reports from the PGA Tour, Kokrak was disqualified from the Championship last Friday after he failed to finish his final hole- as well as submit a scorecard. He did finish Round 1, where he tied for 15th at 3 under, after hitting 9 of 14 fairways and 12 of 18 greens in regulation. But his second day turned up to be a major mess- as it seemed to be over even before he stepped up to the final hole.

Jason Kokrak Could Be Bidding Adieu To PGA Tour

Jason Kokrak did reach the 18th hole four over after he followed his second double bogey of the day. On his second shot with the hole just 43 yards away, he went on to knock the ball 87 yards into the distance, picked it up, and left the field. Most users on social media went on to speculate that this was Kokrak’s way of bidding farewell to the PGA Tour, while simultaneously welcoming the rival Saudi-backed league. Interestingly, Jason Sobel of Action Network stated that Kokrak’s actions were more of a passing courtesy to his fellow golfers.

In a Tweet, Sobel mentioned that they had been texting with Will McGirt, who had been playing with Jason Kokrak. Interestingly, they didn’t even realize that the ball had gone overboard. Although he had a chance of figuring out where to drop it, he didn’t want to hold up and was moving towards MC anyway.
