A large section of the American population should ideally be seeing a stimulus check payment in their mailboxes in July.

As it stands, most of the payments will be in the form of multiple tax rebates, which aims at offsetting the high inflation that has been impacting Americans negatively from gas to food. The others would simply be stimulus payments, which will be issued to those who have been dealing with some major financial hardship throughout the pandemic. Irrespective of when they are sent, they will all be one-time payments. Some of the states and cities that will be sending out money also involve Chicago, Illinois.

Illinois To Issue Stimulus Check Payments

In the city of Chicago, residents will be able to apply every single month for a gas card and transit funds. To apply for this variant of a stimulus check payment, one needs to be a resident of the city, and should at least be 18 years of age. They also need to have a current as well as a valid city sticker with the correct information that will mail the details of your vehicle. It has also been noted that one’s income has to be below 100% of the area median income settled for Chicago. This means a sum of $93,200 for a household of four people.

The deadline to apply for the stimulus check payment is the 1st of July. And those who would be selected for the payment will be notified of it via email. The city will also be issuing up to 50,000 prepaid gas cards of $150 and 100,000 prepaid transit cards of $50 that would be left under the program. It is also mentioned that cards would be distributed every single month.
