Kiernan Shipka Recounts Her Experience As A Child Actor In Mad Men

Kiernan spoke with Page Six about her experience as a kid actress on Mad Men. “I’m surprised because I wasn’t thinking it was heavy duty at the time,” the actress was quoted as saying. I had no further knowledge. That’s exactly what I did. But, thinking back, I think, “Yeah, that was intense.” She went on to say that she considers herself fortunate to have landed the position.

As a child, I was fortunate. Simply must be believed regarding the performance and not questioned. And I believe that this contributed to a lack of self-doubt on my part, which allowed me to discover my skills in ways I may not have otherwise if they had been restrained or someone had attempted to mold or change them in some manner. I’m very grateful that they let me be on that set, added Kiernan.
