After eight seasons on the popular Bravo show, Lisa Rinna discusses the reasons behind her decision to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The 59-year-old reality star stated in an interview with Interview magazine that the “unhealthy” environment that she felt the show had become was the reason for her decision.
Rinna, who joined the cast in 2014, said that the 12th season of the show was particularly difficult for her because of the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic and the death of her mother, Lois, in November 2021.
Lisa Rinna Statement Make Headlines
She stated, “I believe something has gotten to the Housewife universe because of what is going on in the world, and it is reflected in the way the fans react to the world of Housewives.” Moreover, I believe it to be unhealthy. For me, it wasn’t working. I wasn’t ready for it.
Due to the absence of cameras in some instances, Lisa Rinna also stated that she believed the show “wasn’t told as two-sided as [she] would’ve liked.”
The Melrose Place star has decided to leave the show after Kathy Hilton, her costar, allegedly launched a “smear campaign” in Aspen, Colorado. Rinna repeated Hilton’s denial of the allegations, which led to a heated argument between the two at the season 12 reunion.
Lisa Rinna stated, “You don’t think, ‘Oh, I should be filming this,'” when someone is having a nuclear breakdown. You don’t even think about that.
On January 5, the former star of soap operas made her resignation from RHOBH, stating that it had been “the longest job [she] has held in [her] 35-year career.”
Even though Rinna is leaving RHOBH, she is not leaving the small screen permanently. American Woman, a forthcoming TV Land comedy, will feature the actress. The premiere of the series, which is based on the life of Kyle Richards’ mother, is scheduled for June 2022.
