Inflation has cooled down but the struggle continues among middle-class. They took up two to three jobs to meet ends, and when that didn’t work out they asked for a further stimulus check. But later that too got rejected cause the IRS needed a solid reason to provide another payment, and the financial advisers warned everyone, further stimulus checks could cause disruption in the economy again which would further escalate to inflation. And some states took the matter into their own hands and provided residents with assistance.
Excess Money Used As Stimulus Check
Apparently, Michigan State had some extra money after budgeting this year, and they are providing their residents with stimulus checks. They consider this assistance as an inflation relief check. They are not a huge amount but can provide residents with some support to stay put. A $180 worth of stimulus check. However, this payment can only be sent to those residents who filed last year’s taxes.
The resident must not forget there is the possibility of this plan taking action, as this is still in the proposal stage and yet to be passed the bill.
Bad news for couples who have filed jointly or even doing that now, might be expecting a double amount but that is not going to happen. They are going to receive only one stimulus check. The governor of Michigan is yet to make a full statement on this matter, and other nitty-gritty will be shared in the coming week. But you can expect the stimulus check to reach you by this spring. However, they did mention filing taxes, if you are a taxpayer or even willing to claim the payment you have time till the 18th of April. And tax filing session started on 23rd January.Ample time left to file taxes.
