Patrick Kane will have a chance to play for a fourth Stanley Cup title as the Blackhawks now have a deal with the Rangers for a trade.
The Chicago Blackhawks are selling star Patrick Kane to New York Rangers. What will they get from the deal? Well, with the deal going through, the Blackhawks will now have a conditional 2nd-round pick in 2023, a 4th round pick in 2025 and defenseman Andy Welinski from the roster. Now if the NY team goes through into the conference final, the second-round pick of 2023 might become a first round pick for the Blackhawks. Another defenseman Coper Zech is also on his way to the Rangers club.
As per the latest news, the Chicago Blackhawks will get fifty percent of Patrick Kane’s contract and the remaining of it will go to the Coyotes. The Coyotes will also get a third-round pick in 2025 for this deal however it is conditional.
Patrick Kane Going To New York Rangers:
The Chicago Rangers were not in the sweepstakes for Kane as they already traded in Tarasenko. However, they got the player, and now Kane will also be reunited with his former Blackhawk colleague Artemi Panarin.
The Rangers have cleared their cap space as they traded Kravtsov to Vancouver and Jack Leschyshyn to AHL and have made some other adjustments too.
With the new entries in the Rangers team, they now have players who have scored 30 or more goals in a season on eleven different seasons.
