Police today released a graphic video showing the attack on Paul Peolsi, the husband of the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The video of the attack in October shows Paul Pelosi in his nightwear trying to confront his attacker before he is viciously attacked with the hammer.
Police have also released the confession of Paul Pelosi’s attacker. The footage shows a surveillance video of a man breaking into the San Francisco home of Nancy and Paul Pelosi. The recording of a 911 call purportedly shows a man telling police calmly that a man was waiting to meet Nancy Pelosi. There is also a body-camera video that shows the assailant snatching the hammer and swinging it viciously at Paul Pelosi, who appears to briefly struggle with the assailant before the attack.
Nancy Has Said That She Has Not Seen The Recording Of The Attack On Paul Pelosi
The chilling events unfolded in the early hours of October 28. The man smashed into the house of Nancy and Paul Pelosi and brutally attacked her husband, fracturing his skull. The attack happened just before the midterms in November 2022.
The recordings are part of the evidence that has been building up against the assailant, David DePape. He stands charged with residential burglary, attempted murder, assault with a lethal weapon, elder abuse, false detaining of an elderly person, and threatening a public official and her family.
DePape has pleaded not guilty to breaking into the lawmaker’s home and attacking Paul Pelosi. A police video taken after the attack depicts DePape giving a rambling interview in which he said that he was on the lookout for Nancy, whom he described as the leader of the pack.
Nancy Pelosi was in Washington at the time of the attack and was with her protective detail. She briefly spoke about the release of the video depicting the break-in and the attack on Paul Pelosi. She said that she had not seen the video or heard the 911 call or DePape’s confession.
