Marvel Studios is on a roll with a kick-off to Phase 5 at the premiere of the new Ant-Man movie Quantumania. This marks the third movie in the trilogy series to Ant-Man following its 2015 release the Ant-Man and the Ant-Man and Wasp film in 2018.

Is Quantumania Finally Kicking Start The Phase 5?

The third addition to the trilogy will be starring Paul Rudd, Lilly, Evangeline, Jonathan Majors, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer alongside a supporting cast of David Dastmalchian, Katy O’Brian, William Jackson Harper, and also Bill Murray.

The Phase 4 session got wrapped up with the much anticipated Marvel Studios Black Panther movie Wakanda Forever last November. The film remained on top of its charts with record-setting sales in the U.S. amounting to a whopping $181.4 million and globally over $831.2 million since its premiere two months long.

Coming back onto the director’s seat, Peyton Reed talks about Quantumania saying he hopes for bringing back the gravitas from Avenger films to reflect on his latest Ant-Man release. He trails off by stating how the audience thinks of these movies to be a little fun palate cleanser after big blockbuster releases. Reed said he didn’t want the third one to seem like a palate cleanser, he aims for this one to do big.

After the critic’s reviews, it feels like he quite successfully hit the eye this time. Editor to Variety Jazz Tangcay says the film is an absolute blast along with Collider chief editor  Steven Weintraub referring to Quantumania as a strong hitting start for phase 5. While Sean Keane from CNET wasn’t too happy about how much was going on in the film most critics were dismissive of the statement.
