As per the complaint filed by them, it is said that she violated the act of the federal Hatch. And this was done by praising the gubernatorial candidate belonging to the Democratic Party. The name of the candidate in question is Terry McAuliffe.

The 42-year-old is accused of breaking one of the very important rules. Jen Psaki praised the gubernatorial candidate belonging to the Democratic Party. The incident took place on the 12th of October that fell on a Thursday. It was at one of the regular briefings of the candidate. The complaint was made by the CREW also known as “Citizens For Responsibility & Ethics.” The said organization is based in Washington. The complaint against Jen Psaki was received by the special counsel’s office. It was alleged that the Press secretary used her influence in order to mold the outcome of the election that is to take place in the month of November. And she did it through her position.
The press secretary was asked a question with regard to the upcoming midterm elections. It was asked if the administration of Joe Biden, the President of the country, considers the race of McAuliffe against Glenn Youngkin to be the upcoming election’s “bellwether.” Youngkin is the candidate belonging to the Republican Party. In her reply, Jen Psaki stated that the Democratic President does prefer Auliffe to take the office of the governor of the state of Virginia. She further stated the reasons behind the decision of President Biden. It was stated that there was a lot of convergence when it came to the policies of both the Democratic political leaders.
