Barcelona’s win over Real Madrid in the el clasico has almost confirmed the winner of the La Liga with the former sitting twelve points clear at the table top. Real Madrid got defeated in Camp Nou with a controversial offside decision that ruled out the Marco Asensio goal. However, Real Madrid now got a bigger problem infront of them.
Vinicius Jr. has been one of the best left wingers of the game since he realized his potential at Real Madrid and finally started performing for the Los Blancos. However, despite winning the La Liga title and the UCL title once in his career, and that too in a single season, Vinicius is yet to find the formula to move past Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo. The Uruguayan defender has always been effective against Vinicius and he showed how to stop him in multiple occasions. Even though Vini has passed Araujo many times in the last Clasico and even Aaraujo scored an own goal that came in from a deflection from Vini’s cross and gave Real Madrid the lead, the Merengues will still try to find a solution to this problem.
Real Madrid Need To Solve The Vinicius Problem:
After the international break, the Royal Whites will play in the Champions League quarter finals against Chelsea. Maybe Barcelona and Ronald Araujo will not be in any European Competition this season to haunt Vini, but there will be a certain pacy fullback in Reece James in the Chelsea team who will probably take notes from the Clasico last weekend.
Vinicius despite trying has constantly been failing against Araujo in the Clasicos when they face each other. This probably will raise an eyebrow of the Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti as after the Clasico loss he will be under immense pressure to deliver the CDR and the UCL in the trophy cabinet in Bernabeu if he wants to save his job.
