Ryan Tedder’s Take On Music

Tedder stated that as many as 60000 songs are being added to the streaming platforms each day. The huge amount of content makes it difficult for most of the songs to make an impact. Most of the audience is spoiled for choices. New songs take a lot of hard work and dedication to be channeled properly. However, once it gets released, the competition is huge.

According to Ryan, new releases have to compete with every existing song out there. Classical music is also being added to the streaming platform. This makes things even worse for the new ones. People seem to take a liking for the classic musical releases.

The claims of Ryan Tedder seem legit. The statistics reflect exactly what Tedder has to say. It was found that only four albums among the top 20 in the UK were new releases. The chart was dominated by classical hits by Queen, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Oasis & ABBA. This newest craze for classics affected OneRepublic as well. Their album “Run” did not perform well and was toppled by “Counting Stars- a foot-stomping”.
