Sean Taylor is one of the most decorated athletes of the NFL. He boasts of legendary status and is considered one of the best. Taylor has served the Washington Football Team for a long time. The late athlete made his debut in the league in the year 2004. He was roped in by the Washington team as a fifth pick. Washington did not regret signing Sean. He soon proved his worth as he started getting match time in the NFL

Taylor continued playing for Washington for four seasons straight. He was good about his business right from his childhood. Taylor guided Gulliver Prep to win the championship title at Florida. He also played as a defensive blocker for Miami. Unfortunately, the athlete was murdered on 27th November 2007. He was twenty-four years old at the time of his death. 

Sean Taylor’s Jersey Number Scrapped 

Having your jersey number retired is a rare feat. Only a few of the most famous athletes have been able to achieve this. Sean Taylor has inducted himself into the elite category. The Washington Football Team honored Taylor by retiring his jersey number. He has become the third player in the history of Washington to have ever achieved this feat. 

The team will be having their upcoming match against the Kansas City Chiefs. According to the schedule, Washington will announce the retirement of the number, 21. They also stated that a road will be named after the late legend. The other players have their credit. Bobby Michell, Sammy Baugh are the two other stars that have had their jerseys retired. 

Jason Wright is the president of the Washington Football Team. He expressed his respect for the late athlete. He praised Sean Taylor for his work ethic & determination. He also stated that most of his teammates looked up to Taylor as a role model.
