Gamers buckle up! Star Wars is about to release; rather re-release its Star Wars Episode I: Racer on the 12th of May.
Initially released in 1999 on Nintendo64, it’s making a come-back after 20 years. This revamped version includes the best of both worlds, old and new. Pumped with modern technology, it also keeps intact the essence of the original.
The game already has an ‘emotional resonance’ in the world of gamers so it was important to connect the new-age audience with something of the old world that they might have missed, mentions producer James Vicari to StarWars.com.
“We really believe in reuniting fans with something they have cherished.”
James elaborates that the game has been kept interesting for controllers even though the control system has changed face from the N64 to the Switch Joy-Con. “The team here is a big believer that the best control scheme is the one you don’t ever think about and that philosophy really permeates everything we’ve done with the controls.”
The team hopes to provide the best experience to all the gamers playing it. So hold on till the 12th.
