Stevie Nicks has decided to cancel all of her concerts for this year- even though she had just five concerts for 2021. The singer stated that she was going through some challenging times- which needed some challenging decisions taken through them. She also mentioned that she would want nothing more than to see everyone safe and healthy- with the rising cases to be taken seriously.
Furthermore, while she had been vaccinated fully, it was quite a risk at her age to come on stage and perform before so many people. Precisely why she decided to cancel all her concerts for 2021.
Stevie Nicks Prioritizes Health Over Concerts
Since her life revolves around performing and singing, it is imperative that Stevie Nicks take care of herself. It would help her entertain her fans for another decade or so if she maintained proper precautions. While she understands that her fans are definitely disappointed with the turn of events, there are some things that are beyond her control.
Stevie Nicks, who recently turned 73, was scheduled to perform at the Jazz Aspen Festival, and then at BottleRock Napa Valley in the period between 3rd and 5th September. Those weekends would be a part of the Austin City Limits Music Festival- as well as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
Although the New Orleans festival has already been canceled, the other festivals would be putting out replacement acts in the following days. Hours after Nicks canceled her tour, BottleRock stated that Chris Stapleton would be taking her slot.
Previously, Stevie Nicks had released a song before the Presidential elections last year- which featured Dave Grohl on the drums. The song was called ‘Show Them The Way’ with the singer hoping that it would allow the country to grow up to its previous stature.
