Although some residents of New Mexico have already received their stimulus check payments, most citizens of California can look for their relief checks to come in as soon as October.

In order to lessen the blow of inflation while protecting the population against the threat of recession, quite a large number of states have been issuing money to the residents in the form of inflation relief checks and tax rebates. The latest in the series comes from South Carolina, where Governor Henry McMaster recently signed legislation that he hoped would send taxpayers most of their tax refund payments by the end of 2022. Massachusetts could be the next in line- where the state legislature will be hoping to issue money by the end of September.

Stimulus Check Payments Coming Soon

The federal government had previously issued around three distinct rounds of stimulus check payments during the pandemic. It is quite unlikely that they will be issuing more, but around 17 states have already started, or have been working towards approving the inflation relief or rebate payments checks to the taxpayers in either 2022 or 2023.

In the state of California, Governor Gavin Newsom along with the state legislators has already agreed to send millions of citizens in the Golden State inflation relief checks which could go as high as $1,050. The payments, which will be coming out from the $97 billion budget surplus of California, will also be issued as debit cards or direct deposits by 2023.

In the state of Colorado, the state residents who have already filed their tax return for 2021 by the 30th of June will be receiving a stimulus check payment for $750 by September. On the other hand, joint filers will be receiving a sum of $1,500. Filers who already received an extension and will be filing by the 17th of October will be receiving a refund by the 31st of January, 2023.
