According to recent reports, Billie Eilish, an American singer and songwriter who is best known for her successful debut single, ‘Ocean Eyes’ recently responded to twitter trollers who body-shamed her for going out in a casual attire.

In a recent Vanity Fair article, Billie Eilish openly talks about this incident and elaborately explains the situation. She shuts down body shamers who called her “fat”. As a consequence, she came out as a body-positive icon following this incident.

Billie Eilish Speaks Up Against Body-Shaming Trollers

Talking about the incident, Eilish mentions that there was a picture of her running from her car to her brother’s front door on a very hot day where she is seen wearing a tank top. Twitter trollers take the opportunity to throw snide comments on her like, “Damn, Billie got fat” along with the photo of her from October. To this, she responded by saying, “Nope, this is how I look, you’ve just never seen it before!”

Billie Eilish, 18, sat with Vanity Fair to reflect on her career so far and incidents like these that happened once before as well. Further talking about this, she mentioned that the singer believes in speaking her mind. She mentioned that people want to hear her say things that she would say to herself. They look up to personalities like her so that they can get the confidence to speak their mind. Talking about her approach towards her career, Billie mentions how she loves it when kids relate to her.

However, this is not the first time that Billie is seen to react to trollers or the paparazzi. She also posted her image wearing a tank top on Instagram, captioning it as, “Do you really wanna go back in time?” Eilish is also known to speak up against body-shamers in a short film titled, “Not My Responsibility”.
