On Wednesday, the entire season of the Wizards was at risk. However, they put in a dominating performance against the Pacers in a 142-115 win in the Capital One Arena.

Bradley Beal Continues Blazing For The Wizards

Wednesday’s game was the second game for both teams in the play-ins. With the victory, the Wizards are now seed number eight in the playoffs. They will be facing the Sixers, the number one seed.

Bradley Beal netted the most points in the match – 25. Russell Westbrook was second best with 18 points, 15 assists, and 8 rebounds. The 27 point margin of victory was only 2 points less than Washington’s biggest margin for the season.

In the starting quarter, the Wizards balanced their offense well while attacking which resulted in them getting the lead early. 4 of Wizards’ 5 starters found the basket in the opening five minutes. The next quarter was a complete domination by Washington surging to a run of 16-0. It ended the quarter’s score at 50-34. 5 different Washington players scored during the run while the Pacers were held to 0 points for as long as 4 minutes.

After coming back from the half-time break, the Washington offense became clinical. They equaled the quarter highest of the Wizards. By the end of the quarter, Washington was leading by 30 points. In the last quarter, Washington put on their bench to finish the game. Anthony Gill netted 10 points.

With less than 10 minutes left, Domantas Sabonis fouled out. However, he still recorded a total of 19 points, 10 assists, and 11 rebounds.
