According to the IRS, the third wave of Stimulus Checks, with the routing number “6475,” will be mailed out very shortly.
The Stimulus Check, which will be sent to about 36 million homes, will inform recipients as to whether or not they qualify to claim the recovery refund credit on their 2021 tax return.
Beginning with tax returns filed in 2022, recipients can claim Stimulus Checks.
Letter 6475, which will be handed out to recipients in late January, will detail the full amount of their fiscal year 2016 stimulus payments. You will need this letter from the IRS to submit your 2021 federal return, so keep it secure.
If You Did Not Get Your Stimulus Check, Read This Letter From The IRS
The Internal Revenue Service states that Letter 6475 is only applicable to the third cycle of stimulus payments (which began in March 2021 and will end in December 2021).
The IRS claims that taxpayers who file electronically will typically receive their refund (if applicable) within 21 days (paper returns are discouraged). Since last week, the government has been sending letters to the more than 9 million people who appear to be eligible for checks but have not yet submitted their 2021 federal income tax return.
Nine million of these people may qualify for tax credits such as the Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, and the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit, according to the Internal Revenue Service. Many of the persons on the list receive the letter because they have too low an income to be subject to taxation. If historical data is any indication, these are the households that will most need the funds and then return them to circulation.
