The British government and its methods to contain the coronavirus pandemic has often been caught under fire. It has received a lot of criticism. This Wednesday, the members of the British parliament got their first opportunity to hold themselves accountable for this improper handling. As the death toll in the UK rises to around 18,100 and lack of protective gear remains a veritable problem, the opposition leader Keir Starmer is finally realizing and questioning the Prime Minister, stating ‘Something’s going wrong’. There has been a noticeable pattern with the slow lockdown announcement, slow testing, and slow acquisition of protective gear. A small opposition party is also asking if an inquiry should be made on how the government handled the pandemic.
